Came in with my wife. Super cool place, unique stones, beads, gems. Bought some tiger's eye beads for a decent price. Employees were awesome and gave me some info I didn't even know about the beads I was already wearing. Recommended niche store.

I’ve been a regular at Beads and Rocks for the past couple of months, and it’s easily one of the best specialty shops in Virginia Beach. The staff is consistently welcoming, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate. They take the time to help whether you’re a beginner or experienced collector. The bead selection is massive, with everything from everyday materials to high-end pieces, and their inventory of rare gems and unique rocks is impressive and constantly changing. The overall vibe is creative and well-organized, making it easy to spend time browsing without feeling overwhelmed. If you’re into jewelry-making, crystals, or collecting, this place is a gem in every sense.

This is one of the last old Virginia Beach places. Before everything went so anywhere USA resort city. I used to come to this shop in the 90s, and it is still locally owned. Definitely a place to come looking for what speaks to you; vintage and antique beads, beautiful uncut, polished, and carved rocks ans gems, just a wonderful place! Friendly atmosphere with amazing little nooks to explore and nobody rushing you.

Wanted to make a purchase here but unfortunately the man in the parking lot was so rude I just left. Lived here for 42 years there are never ANY cars in the parking lot they have zero customers why chase away the one person who is trying to make a purchase. Situated on a road work corner impossible to get to and yet they choose to run people off. Ignorant at best .

The shop employee (Beth) is knowledgeable and even invited the store owner (Jim) to meet to get some of the rare gems. My gf is already looking forward to her next visit to discover more hidden gems in this fantastic space!
